2) A reflection on the feedback you received from your last pitch.
The feedback that I received from multiple people was to keep the same energy I had while delivering the feedback, but try to memorize it more. Some of the feedback said that it looked like I was reading too much during the pitch, but that the content of the pitch was great.
3) What did you change, based on the feedback?
Based on the feedback, I kept the same pitch because I received only positive feedback on it. However, I tried to memorize it more and have it look like I was not reading from a script as much since that was the critique I received.

ReplyDeleteI think one of the strengths of your elevator pitch is your opener which draws attention to the severity of the issue you are hoping to solve with your startup. It caught my attention effectively. I also think your overall business idea has a place in the world and could ultimately be a success, especially if you cater to a local market like Gainesville. As a suggestion, I would say to highlight where these classes might take place, if classes would be free to students only, and why students would access your classes as opposed to on-campus resources. Great work!

Secondly, I think you did a great job of improve from your first pitch so it did not seem like you were reading directly off of a paper. Great job conveying your confidence in your product and laying out the issue that makes your product a necessity. Overall, I saw significant improvement from the first pitch.

ReplyDeleteI think you did an amazing job improving on your elevator pitch. I liked how you went into detail on how you plan on providing your service to students at universities. Having your elevator pitch memorized was a good technique because it made you sound very intellectual, it helped you speak clearly, and made you not stumble on your words.

ReplyDeleteAlthough I didn’t listen to your other two pitches, I think that this pitch was very well done. I think that you articulated your idea very well and was easy to understand. I think that there is definitely a market for this type of service on college campuses. The only suggestion I have is to maybe include how much you would charge for certain services and some margins to entice people to invest in your company.

ReplyDeleteI like the hook you used in your pitch because I think most people know someone who has suffered from depression or anxiety or have experienced it themselves. Your cause is something that everyone can relate to, especially college students. In your pitch, you effectively communicated your goals. I also like how you discussed your personal experience with seeing your friends and peers struggle with mental health and how you would like to help.
